Leafboard Introduces the World's Lightest and Most Affordable Freestyle Electric Skateboard

            On October 4^th, 2016, Leafboard, a Kickstarter backed start-up company, launched a 9.7lb electric skateboard with a 16-mile single charge range into the marketplace for an introductory price of $299. This makes it the lightest, sturdiest and most affordable electric skateboard available today. It comes with a host of other interesting features including a top speed of 19 miles per hour, a speed limiter so it can be safely used by younger riders by restricting them to lower speeds, dynamic brakes and an ability to handle 28% inclines. They also point out the fact that the board was made with sustainable materials, minimal plastics and operates longer on its electric battery making it an environmentally conscious product.
