Sunset Boulevard Comes To The New Terminal 6 At LAX

On Wednesday October 19^th, Los Angeles World Airports and Westfield unveiled the newly remodeled terminal 6 at LAX. The redesign cost over $70.5 million and is said to have been inspired by the drive along Sunset Boulevard, from downtown Los Angeles to the beach in Santa Monica. The project is the latest in a larger modernization of the airport, and features 21 new storefronts, along with remodeled waiting areas, new restroom facilities, and a new ribbon ceiling and floors. Visitors will make their way along the terminal in a similar fashion as if they were making their way along LA’s famed Sunset Blvd and will encounter many of the similar architecture and vibes as they would on a drive down the street. The project was a partnership between LAX, Westfield, and six other partners, and is expected to increase sales by 93%.
